Each shelf has a 50-pound capacity to hold everything you need, from collectibles to books to binders. This traditional bookcase has a durable scratch-resistant finish to maintain its beauty and will accept the Half-Height Door Kit (sold separately) with one door in the lower position. Assembly is required for this piece, and it comes with a manufacturer's 6-year warranty. This product meets BIFMA (Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer's Association) standards for safety and performance. Overall dimensions: 17.87W x 15.35D x 72.83H inches.

I was putting this together. It seemed simple enough. It is apparent that the instruction book was for numerous bookcases and you had to figure out which one you had. I was down to attaching the last piece and figured out that I had been sent the wrong piece. The hole did not line up. This piece had 6 screws and 2 did not line up. I chose to just "make do" with the bookshelf rather than unassembling the bookcase, packing it back up and returning it. Very disappointed for the price I paid.

          I bought this bookcase for my 10 year old daughter as a way of organizing her room and books. I have a lot of space to put her books including the real thick and heavy ones with room to spare for her bookbag and other daily school stuff. The color is a little lighter than I wanted since she already has a maple desk and drawers. Over all, I am really liking it because it's sturdy and very spacious. It is a real space saver because I had a specific space that I wanted to put it and it fits perfect within the designated space. The delivery packaging was very heavy but once my husband began assembling the bookcase, it was very easy. It took us about 15-20 minutes. I would definately recommend this product.
